The Scout Law and Promise

Upon joining the movement, all members of Scouting are asked to recite their respective variant of the Scout promise and pledge allegiance to the Scout law.

The Squirrel & Beaver Scout Promise

I promise to do my best,
To be kind and helpful
And to love God.

The Cub Scout Promise

I promise that I will do my best,
To do my duty to God and to the Queen,
To help other people,
And to keep the Cub Scout law.

The Scout Promise

For all Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Young Leaders, Scout Network Members, Leaders, and anybody else who has made their Scout promise.

On my honour,
I promise that I will do my best,
To do my duty to God and to the Queen,
To help other people,
And to keep the Scout law.

Scouting is an inclusive organisation. Alternative variations of the promises can be used for those members with different faiths or no faith. The alternative promises can be found here.
